Matt Hammond is a Senior Partner with over 30 years experience in professional services spanning 20 years focussed on restructuring and a decade in leadership roles.He leads Strategic International Markets for PwC UK firm working with teams in the USA, Germany, Netherlands, France, Ireland, India, China & more.He chaired the Financial Crime business in the UK leading a period of change, and helped build the Firm’s Macro Risk Services & Geo-Political services. Currently the Chief Markets Officer for our Commercial & Government businesses.Uniquely Matthew was Regional Leader for 2 UK regions & Senior Partner for 2 offices, Birmingham & Cardiff. He lead PwC’s investment in the Midlands, an 8-year programme in which every area of PwC’s services received investment and generated collectively a record period of growth, new roles were created. The centre-piece was the investment in the award winning One Chamberlain Square. Leading PwC in the Midlands through the pandemic and Brexit, and PwC’s activation of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, he lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the success of our community, client and people based activation. He is a member of ACCA & ICAEW. He is an Insolvency Practitioner leading restructurings including Carillion, Castlemore & The Cube in real estate and construction; African Minerals Corporation, AP Group, Caparo, MG Rover, London Taxis and BSM across industrials & automotive, and many others across energy, consumer goods, financial services & sport. He leads a portfolio of clients for PwC including Automotive, Industrials & Manufacturing, Energy & Chemicals, Real Estate & Construction, Financial & Business Services, Retail & Consumer.
