I am responsible for the leadership of Clinical Engineering/BioMed and Plant Engineering, Operations & Maintenance Departments. This includes the leadership of the medical equipment program, administration and strategy of the infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance at six hospital campuses, totaling over 3 million square feet in Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.My role includes oversite of annual operating budgets for my departments for said campuses, including 120 associates, medical equipment, utilities, maintenance materials, service contracts, and maintenance contracts. I am also responsible for the overseeing of all Infrastructure Capital Improvement Projects at all major hospital facilities within the St. Elizabeth Healthcare System. I chair the Energy Committee and have facilitated energy cost reductions that have earned Energy Star Ratings at two hospitals and multiple ASHE E2C awards at multiple campuses. I also am responsible for managing the healthcare system Life safety Plan, Utility Management Plan, Water Management Plan and Ventilation Management Plan. This includes updating and creating department policies and procedures. I currently serve as Life Safety Officer, serve on the Safety Committee, serve as the chair of the Waterborne Pathogen Mitigation Committee (WMP Committee), and serve as the co-chair of the Temperature, Humidity and Airflow Monitoring Committee (VMP Committee).
