ABOUT MATT GRANT
I began working at Cosworth in the mid-90\'s, starting as an engine designer on the works Formula 1 programme. Over the next 17 years I took on a number of different roles throughout Cosworth, including project management of some of the large-scale engineering projects both on and off of the track - for example, overseeing the reverse engineering and re-manufacture of parts for the famous Deltic engine for Rolls-Royce.I was the project/operations manager for Cosworth\'s return to Formula 1 in 2010, responsible for the specification, parts supply and build of the engines that powered one third of the grid. Alongside these daily duties, I also looked after the enormous collection of historic archive documentation that was growing at Cosworth. In 2013 I left Cosworth to create Modatek with Diana Grant. Initially an engineering consultancy, Modatek quickly became a source of Cosworth parts for historic engines, using my knowledge of the wide range of Cosworth\'s historic engine projects combined with Diana\'s sales experience. In 2016 Modatek were appointed as Cosworth\'s official distributor for components for historic engines, with full access to Cosworth\'s archives.I continue to provide engineering consultancy, and have worked on a diverse series of high performance automotive engineering endeavours, including Le Mans, Indycar and Formula 1 plus road car projects for a number of prestigious vehicle manufacturers. I also write for the High Power Media group, with monthly contributions to their Race Engine Technology publication. I\'ve been a chartered engineer since 1996 and I am a member of the IMechE.
