About Matt Gore
Registered Patent Agent and Mechanical Engineer with a practice focused primarily on internal combustion engines. My interests include automotive technology, power sports, small engines, and off-road engines for marine, agricultural, & industrial applications. I have a strong background and lifelong experience with internal combustion engines acquired from working in machine shops building engines, designing engines as an engineer, working with race teams, and leading ICE R&D efforts. I am particularly interested in the design and development of two-stroke engines. I combine engineering research & development methods and years of “hands-on” practical experience with intellectual property law to develop high-quality IP solutions for my clients. My patent practice is focused primarily on IC engines, automotive technology, machine design, thermal & fluid sciences, industrial and agricultural machines, welding & machining technology, firearms, and mechanical devices such as transmissions, brakes, winches, and hydraulic systems. My research includes the experimental design of internal combustion engines, namely two-stroke engines and hybrid powertrains as well as investigating the viability of synthetic fuel mixtures for use in existing spark & compression ignition engines. My long-term goals include assisting in the IP & development of next-generation engine technology, especially for two-stroke engines. Through lifelong & continuing experience with mechanics, machining, and welding & fabricating, I am able to provide a unique approach to protecting my clients\' IP. Outside of work, I enjoy working on and riding motorcycles, racing, motocross, taking on new projects in my shop, or anything fast and loud. I have been known to break out the banjo from time to time.
