About Matt Franklin

My professional career began in 1997, working as an Associate Producer and Production Manager on the independently produced feature film \"Rose’s\". I later moved to Los Angeles, working as Director of Video Services for Moxie Pictures, a bi-coastal commercial production company, working with industry directors like Christopher Guest (Best in Show), Todd Phillips (Old School, The Hangover trilogy) and Pam Thomas (Sex & the City - TV show). In I began freelancing at night for Fox Family, and later ABC Family Channel, as a Promotions Producer, producing on-air promos for one of the most widely seen cable channels in the country. In 2003, I returned to the Midwest, working at The Core, the in-house post-production facility for Leo Burnett, one of the largest advertising agencies in the nation. In June of 2005, I came on board WYIN, using my skills in all-around production, assuming the role of Production Manager. The station rebranded itself in 2006 as Lakeshore Public Television with the goal to provide local, regional and national productions done with quality. With my 2011 promotion to Vice President of TV Operations, I oversee the production of all of the station\'s in-house shows and broadcasts, as well as the programming/traffic, production, marketing / PR and engineering departments. Throughout my time at Lakeshore, I have been the director of the station\'s first show produced for national distribution, Classical Stretch. I have overseen eight seasons of the show on location in Jamaica, Mexico and Bermuda.
