Providing strategic leadership and direction for the QA & T department during a transitionalperiod, designing and developing the Quality & Testing function for Digital Services, includingstandards, processes, and capabilities. Developing and securing approval for business cases worth over £500k to build Quality & Testing capability during an interim financial year, during a period of department transition. Key stakeholder for AI implementation within National Highways and leading the developmentof the AI Assurance practice within Digital Services, ensuring robust quality and testingapproaches for AI-enabled solutions. Reviewer and contributor to the AI Assurance Framework for Government and ALBs producedby the Digital Cabinet Office, translating national guidance into practical assurance patterns forNational Highways. Working collaboratively with architecture, security, service, and delivery teams to embed qualityand testing checkpoints, entry/exit criteria, and reporting throughout project lifecycles. Appointed Lead Author for the ‘People Capability, Quality & Test’ paper to the NationalHighways Executive Board, setting out the vision, roadmap and capability model for QualityAssurance & Testing across the organisation. Major stakeholder and technical decision maker for the Development Centre Discovery working group. The purpose was to identify key services, challenges and benefits for the future creation of a innovation and testing facility to support quality integration for operational services. Line management and development of Quality & Testing practitioners, including capability planning, performance management, and professional development. Overall accountability for Quality & Testing across Digital Services during the interim period.
