ABOUT MATT DUKE

I graduated college in December of 2007 with a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering. During my time at Georgia Tech I worked 5 Co-Op semester as a Process Engineer at Atlantic Southeast Airlines. I developed skills in logistics, procurement, supply-chain, and process improvements.In my time at Home Depot I worked initially in network strategy and logistics analysis. I worked on future state planning of distribution center location and service regions. This training has given me a broad working knowledge of the entire supply chain including transportation, real estate, and material flow. I transitioned to Warehouse Start-Up and Implementation traveling the country training local management and associates on systems and best practices. A major Distribution Systems project has been as the USA Business Lead on opening the first Home Depot Canada Rapid Deployment Centre. I worked with Canadian resources to have a successful go-live of the first distribution center in the modernization of the Home Depot Canada\'s distribution network. Other projects have included the implementation of a 3PL Transload facility focused on consolidated import product and integration of labor management software into an existing distribution network.Specialties: Network Strategy, Process Improvement, Business Automation, Distribution Systems
