Once Upon A Time. There was a 2nd grade boy who got a comment on his report card that said,\"Matt walks and talks too much.\" At first he thought that was a bad thing, now not so much! With over 35 years of public communications, marketing, and resource development experience on the local, regional and national levels, I have a special talent for connecting people to each other so that they can make a profound impact in their community. Over the last three decades I have built a reputation in my community as someone who can build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, create true partnerships, and harness collective impact. I have worked successfully with numerous volunteer boards that have increased opportunities for thousands of men, women, and children in my community. I have over 20 years of experience working with national level organizations such as the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots, The Salvation Army, and NeighborWorks America. I have successfully raised millions of dollars in funding for the organizations with whom I’ve worked. But what I’m most proud of is the chance I’ve had to mentor and lead others into growing as advocates and allies for those around them. I look forward to helping others channel their passions into growing an even stronger and more vibrant community.
