Working in a Category Manager role, supporting the Salt Lake & Richmond refineries, overseeing supply chain management activities for a combined capital project portfolio of approximately $225 million. In thisrole I am executing Capital Project, Engineering, Equipment & MRO Category (CPEEM) strategies & proactively managing suppliers to support the business, e.g, negotiating warranty claims, competitive rates, & favorable T & Cs, addressing supplier delivery issues, consolidating supply base through reduction of tail spend, working with Legal to resolve union grievances, etc. I manage several high-impact initiatives such as engineering composite rate reductions, rental equipment demand optimization, & a Richmond initiative to deliver continued savings through competitively bidding wharf dredging work. These initiatives are expected to result in a multimillion-dollar savings annually. In addition, I facilitated the transition to alternative filters, achieving over $1M in projected annual savings.
