Prior Experience includes process engineering, new product development and manufacturing management in injection molding (nearly 30 years) and electroplating (10 years). Plastics work has included medical, electronics and automotive with nearly all using engineering grade resins. Understand the intricacies involved in making precision molded components and exceeding expectations of customer - both internal and external.Use my experience with continuous improvement and lean techniques inclusive of Value Stream Mapping and A3 Thinking to make meaningful capacity and quality improvements. Focus has been and will remain on reducing process variation (Kaizen) and ultimately reduce cost.Equally prepared to lead new product development efforts inclusive of Design for Manufacturability, Tool Design Review, Process Setup and Molded Component Qualification. Experience in supplier sourcing and supplier development - design and processing methodology. While at Philips in the Global Commodity Manager for plastics roles, managed a team responsible for the annual procurement of more than in components, sub-assemblies and purchase finished goods.Strategize and executes plans to implement transfer activities from USA locations to Mexico. Includes CAPEX budgeting and sourcing inclusive of injection molding machines and multi-cavity injection molds. Actively promote the knowledge base at the planned receiving site. Present project includes the startup of $4 million plus in capital equipment (9 machines and 14 new molds).I am a problem solver always looking for that next challenge.
