ABOUT MATT BEEKE

I am an experienced applied psychologist currently working as the Head of Clinical and Positive Behaviour Services at Cambridgeshire County Council. I carry out a small amount of private work. I have over 20 years experience of working with children, young people and their families in a wide range of settings and contexts.My current interests include the establishment of a number of additionally-resourced bases for primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, including the development of a scaleable model based on the application of psychology. I am also chairing an innovative project that aims to develop a co-ordinated response to critical incidents across local authority, health and third sector organisations. I have a particular interest in developing shared understandings and practices between educational psychology and clinical psychology, especially in the area of critical incidents. As part of this work I have supported the development of resources for the UK Trauma Council and provide evidence-based training for psychologists managing critical incidents with a clinical psychology colleague.I am interested in collaborating with colleagues working in either of these areas.
