I manage the Health Services and Research Section within the Domestic Social Policy Division of the Congressional Research Service. The section is responsible for providing Congress with analysis and insights covering a broad range of issues, including health care services delivery, health workforce, medicine and biomedical research, public health, tobacco control, disease prevention, substance use and mental health, veterans health, as well as issues related to access to and quality of care. Key federal agencies within the my section\'s scope of responsibilities include FDA, NIH, CDC, SAMHSA, HRSA, IHS, AHRQ, and the VA. CRS provides timely, expert, non-partisan, unbiased, and accurate research to members of Congress, their committees and staff.
