ABOUT MATILDE SILVA
I am driven, perseverant, creative, and passionate.I thrive under pressure and have excellent time management. My goal is to be an engineer in the motorsport industry and ultimately work in Formula 1.I am a fan of the sport in general but also have a curiosity for behind-the-scenes leading to around the subject interest: including reading of race statistics, performance and how the car models are built. I can speak two languages fluently- Portuguese and English and have learnt some Mandarin and French in my GCSEs. I am at Pate\'s Grammar school for Sixth Form and do Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry for A Levels. I would like to continue my education and go to university for a Mechanical Engineering Degree, and successfully have a career in the Motorsport industry, especially in Formula 1. My work experience especially at Williams F1 has given me a range of different skills and experience to be able to adapt to any work environment. Being an Arkwright Scholar has allowed me also to gain so many skills and opportunities. Engineering Manager at Chromium Racing, winning best engineered car and competing at the UK Nationals Finals getting 4th fastest time for our car.I am very open to learning and receiving any advice from industry specialists.
