My career has focused on turning materials science innovations into scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy technologies.Working at the intersection of materials science, manufacturing, and scale-up, I lead R&D programs in fast-moving startup environments. At Beyond Silicon, I help translate perovskite semiconductor innovation into commercially ready, high-performance and high-durability Tandem Solar Wafers—delivering over 30% more power and manufactured in the U.S. My role blends hands-on technical work with team leadership, aligning engineers and technicians to deliver results with limited resources.By grounding development in materials science fundamentals and data-driven decision-making, my teams shorten learning cycles and reduce scale-up risk. Python- and AI-enabled workflows help us move complex energy technologies from lab to pilot scale faster, without sacrificing rigor.Beyond my core role, I contribute to sustainability-focused education and community efforts, including PVSC conference organizing and volunteering with Arizona-based clean energy and aviation groups.
