About Nikson Mathews

I channel 15+ years of creative and brand strategy, collaboration, and communication expertise into my creative direction, advocacy, and community leadership roles. My approach to leadership is about action and making positive change. I am committed to using my expertise to promote equity and opportunity for Idahoans. My professional experience includes collaborations with clients such as the College of Western Idaho, Figure 8 Investment Strategies, and global companies like Microsoft. My work extends beyond business; it\'s about effecting positive and purposeful community change. As an adjunct professor at Boise State University, I combine academic insights with real-world experience to help guide future leaders in problem-solving and effective communication. As a community advocate, I hold leadership positions within organizations like Add The Words Idaho and the Idaho Democratic Queer Caucus. I focus on support and education for LGBTQIA+ Idahoans and actively collaborate with local leaders and legislators to create a more inclusive Idaho. As a former candidate for Idaho House of Representatives District 16B, I gained valuable insights into grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, and community engagement, which I continue to apply in my work today.
