I am a Mechanical E.I.T. in the Power, Utilities and Renewables division at ONEC Engineering. I spearheaded numerous projects through the different phases from initiation to execution, delivery and closing. I worked closely with engineers and designers to create P & IDs, engineering drawings and Construction Work Packages in compliance with applicable industry codes such as ASME B31.3 and CSA B139.

ABOUT MATHEW SHAKER

I am a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training with 5+ years of experience in engineering and design with focus on power/renewables, utilities and oil and gas industry. Throughout my career I facilitated and coordinated work plans with PMs, engineers, designers, software developers and customers in diverse projects including power generation, advanced materials manufacturing, datacenter infrastructure management and electric vehicles. I am proficient in English and conversational in French with extensive professional experience across Canada. I am passionate about applying my project management, engineering and design skills to the power and renewables industry and creating positive impacts on communities. I am a quick learner and goal-oriented with excellent technical and analytical skills and a can-do attitude. I have strong expertise in CAD modelling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and shape optimization techniques. The focus of my Master\'s research at McGill University was on gear geometry optimization using cubic splines to reduce stress concentrations and increase gear tooth strength by optimizing the tooth-root profile. I have recently obtained my PMP designation and eligible to register as P. Eng. with APEGA. I enjoy spending time with family, running, swimming, volunteering and travelling.
