Conducts Phase 1 ESAs (AER and CSA standard) for upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities, as well as urban commercial properties, throughout Alberta- Leads Phase 2 ESAs on a variety of different sites with varied industrial uses (oil and gas, pulp and paper, municipal, commercial) within Alberta (includes field screening, soil classification and sampling, drilling waste disposal area identification, delineation and assessment, presentation and analysis of laboratory results)- Conducts groundwater monitoring and sampling programs across industrial sectors within Alberta (midstream and upstream oil and gas, pulp and paper, municipal and commercial)- Leads DSAs and vegetation monitoring on reclaimed oil and gas facilities for the purpose of obtaining a Reclamation Certificate, using the Alberta Environment and Parks reclamation criteria on both cultivated and forested sites. Identifies weeds and invasive species on sites throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan- Primary field assessor/team lead for large post-construction environmental assessment programs for midstream oil and gas infrastructure in Alberta and Saskatchewan- Prepares technical reports and Reclamation Certificate Applications for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry- Effectively works in isolated areas for long hours in small teams, has extensive training in remote areas with high concern for wildlife encounters and has experience using helicopters to access isolated sites- Knowledge of basic Indigenous engagement practice, as well as an understanding of Indigenous traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) principles- Member of Trace’s Indigenous Engagement team and Indigenous Hiring Subcommittee.
