In my current role as Marine and Technology (M&T) Bid Manager, I report to the Head of Capture and Proposal Management. This role requires the Bid Management responsibility of large, complex and strategic opportunities within the M&T Sector to deliver the following responsibilities: • Management of bid teams - from PQQ through to BAFO. • Development of the bid execution plan and budget, reaching agreement of such with the associated Business Development Managers (BDM) and key functional stakeholders. • Mobilisation of the bid team (incl. roles and responsibilities), and leadership of that team in the delivery of the bid programme, including line management of Bid support. • Adherence by the bid team to the Shipley based Business Winning process, including Blue, Black, Kick Off, Red, Pink and Gold teams’. • Engagement with Suitably Qualified and Experience Persons (SQEPs) required delivering a compelling proposal (e.g. Engineering functions and Proposal Production). • Provide periodic reports to BDMs on the performance and progress of any opportunity against set programme and budget. • Bid project cost control, through adherence to company policies. • Support BDMs to manage corporate governance process associated with Business Winning including Gate, Commercial and Pricing reviews.
