ABOUT MATHEW HANSON
Hi! My name is Mathew Hanson and I\'m an aspiring Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I love to learn, and build cool things. My experience covers a broad range of industries. From environmental remediation involving the electrokinetic filtration of oil-based muds and electro-resistive thawing of uranium mines at GEE. To developing novel catalysts for the electrochemical reduction of CO2 into usable fuels at the MIF. I\'ve also worked on the electrical integration side of personal watercraft during my time with Sea-Doo in Quebec. My last job was working as an electrical and embedded systems engineering intern in the defense sector developing helicopter landing assist systems for navies around the world. I\'m currently working as an FPGA designer for Evertz microsystems where I\'m developing high-speed IP switches and routers. Outside of work and school I\'ve also been apart of multiple design teams at the University of Waterloo including: Waterloop the hyperloop design team where I\'m working on making linear induction motors, Baja SAE where I helped design their initial braking system, as well as the University of Waterloo application specific integrated circuit team where I\'m helping develop the team\'s analog project this semester. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and going on adventures outdoors. I also enjoy learning/playing musical instruments, snowboarding, longboarding, watersports and camping. I\'m always looking for talented people to work on fun projects with so feel free to reach out!
