ABOUT MATEUSZ SALMASSI
I’m interested in everything it takes to make political change. I have broad experience with government relations, public relations, grassroots organizing, public policy, and more. I’ve defined the organizational strategies and the day-to-day operations of a complex $16 million nonprofit. I have led or played a central role in advocacy campaigns that have secured well over $1.5 billion in federal, provincial, and municipal funding for post-secondary students. I’ve represented the interests of post-secondary students to the federal government of Canada while organizing national issue-based campaigns. I’ve represented my constituents in national print, radio, and TV interviews. I’ve spoken on behalf of Canadian post-secondary students to Reuters. I’ve built strong advocacy coalitions made up of 25 stakeholder organizations with varied or competing interests. I’ve adjudicated the distribution of millions of dollars in grants. When I start fighting for something, I’m in it to win it. I want to organize alongside my neighbors to take on the biggest issues we face.
