Good coffee, too.At Oziel Law, I primarily assist founder led companies in a variety of corporate and commercial matters, particularly in areas concerning corporate transactions (e.g. mergers and acquisitions), intellectual property, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and commercial/IP strategy. I carry extensive industry experience in the areas of software, gaming, food, and agricultural technology, among other areas.Previously, I practiced with a large international firm where I provided transactional, advisory, and advocacy services to global clients as they navigated complex multi-jurisdictional and domestic issues, particularly in areas concerning commercial law, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and technology. In addition to providing general regulatory compliance advice, I have assisted clients in the areas of buy-side and sell-side transactions, marketing and advertising, enforcement against online piracy and counterfeiting, content takedown, social media issues, and have provided risk management advice relating to online commerce and emerging technologies.Prior to my legal career and throughout my studies, I acquired over a decade of experience working with industry incumbents and start-ups alike in the areas of fresh produce, agritech, and healthcare technology. Beyond legal advisory work, these opportunities enabled me to develop practical business skills in team leadership, product development, marketing, and sales. I have completed a joint B.C.L. and LL.B.(JD) at McGill University\'s Faculty of Law. My research interests included data security and privacy, intellectual property, corporate governance, and biomedical ethics. I have also served as an executive editor for the McGill Journal of Law and Health. Previously, I completed an undergraduate degree at Concordia University, with distinction, in pursuit of a double major in Philosophy and Political Science, where my research focused on egalitarian justice. As part of my undergraduate education, I also participated in an exchange program which brought me to the Institut d\'études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) in Paris, France, where my studies focused on international relations, global governance, policy and ethics.
