Main Project Manager for a USD 124 million worth renovation and consolidation project involving 15 floors sqf total) of DC1 building in 1 UN Plaza, New York.Head of the Facilities Management for UNDP Headquarters in New York City. The HQ is divided between DC1 building sqf) and FF building sqf).Tasks: Lead a USD 124 million renovation project, including supervision of the design development and procurement processes, managing schedules, budgets, and contractors.Develop planning and execution of engineering, facilities management and construction services, ensuring regulations and standards compliance.Oversee the safe and reliable operation, maintenance and repair of the Headquarters buildings and infrastructures/systems, liaising with property management.Plan maintenance activities (preventive and corrective) to minimize downtime. Oversee the annual facilities and infrastructure financial plans.Supervise the office relocation for 10 Sections (270 staff members).Direct and mentor an 8-person strong multi-disciplinary team.Provide technical knowledge and guidance to solve complex engineering issues supporting strategic objectives.Select external service providers, managing contracts, vendor relationships, and performance.Monitor consumption and promote sustainability approaches.Manage the communication with internal and external stakeholders, preparing appropriate reports.
