About Massimo Mitolo
Dr. Mitolo has been awarded the Knighthood in the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in recognition of his scientific work. Sir Massimo is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers with the motivation “for contributions to the electrical safety of low-voltage systems,” and a member of the Honor Society. Dr. Mitolo holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, and has a variety of teaching experience as a full professor of Power Systems, Electrical Safety Engineering, Circuit Analysis, Renewable Energies, and Physics (Electromagnetism), in graduate and undergraduate courses. Sir Massimo specializes in the design and analysis of power systems, focusing on electrical safety, grounding and bonding, and failure analysis. He is a registered professional electrical engineer (PE) in the state of California, and in Italy, and has authored, or co-authored, over 170 papers in peer-reviewed journals and in technical magazines. He has authored the books:\"Electrical Safety of Low-voltage Systems\" McGraw-Hill (2009),\"Lab Manual for Introduction to Electronics: A Basic Approach\"(Pearson, 2013)\"Analysis of Grounding and Bonding Systems\"(CRC Press 2020) “Electrical Safety Engineering of Renewable Energy Systems,” (John Wiley & Sons, 2021)\"Smart and Power Grid Systems: Design Challenges and Paradigms,\"(River Publishers, 2023). In his career in the power systems industry, Sir Massimo has served as a full Professor of EE, the head of the Electrical Department of an MEP consulting firm, the Product Manager (cable systems) for a power systems software company, the Senior Principal (Electrical), the Advisory Engineer for a diversified industrial products manufacturer, and the Senior Consultant in electrical systems. He is very active within and he is also the Editor-in-Chief of the book series Power with River Publishers.
