ABOUT MASSIMO GASPARON

I am the Director of the European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA) at EIT RawMaterials, supporting the European Commission with the implementation of the EU Critical Raw Materials Act by promoting investment and international partnerships. Check out our activities at eitrawmaterials.eu and erma.eu. I have a passion for the natural world and a personal commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Before joining EIT RawMaterials I was a professor and geochemistry laboratory Director in the School of Earth Sciences at The University of Queensland in Australia. I have been a Programme coordinator in the Australian National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training and in the Queensland Geothermal Energy Centre of Excellence. I have coordinated mineral exploration and impact assessment projects in Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Zambia. My research and exploration activities have provided the scientific basis for the definition of policies for the protection of environmentally sensitive areas of east Antarctica.
