Just to give you a summary on part of my background, as a young person I was offered scholarships to US, but practical considerations led me to stay in Italy, where I played with a number of teams: Libertas Forli, Fortitudo Bologna, Basket Rimini, Olimpia Milan, RB Montecatini, Scandone Avellino, Novara Cimberio, Basketball Florence, Roseto Basket, Basket Napoli and Virtus Roma. In all, my pro career lasted 18 years. Basketball fosters international career development. I have received some wonderful opportunities and have been supported in these efforts. When I played with the Italian National Team, we won a silver medal at the Mediterranean Games in 1997 and bronze in 2001. I took part in a All-Star Game, and in a qualification at the European Championship. I took part in the 1995 Rome Military Olympic Games, and we won a World Championshp in Texas in 1996, where I was named \"All Tournament.\" While I was on the Military Team, we won a gold medal at the NATO World Tournament in Shape in 1995 and a bronze in 2012. Being a professional athlete for nearly two decades definitely helps someone to develop learning skills, grow in determination and positive attitudes, and relate quickly to people.
