Monitor and manage backbone infrastructure, including Cisco routers/switches, Ciena optical platforms, Arista switches, DWDM systems, and waveservers. • Troubleshoot and resolve transport and IP layer issues affecting enterprise and carrier-grade services. • Provision and maintain DWDM routes and optical waves, ensuring efficient bandwidth utilization and reliable service delivery. • Respond to network alarms, escalations, and outages, coordinating with field engineers and vendors for rapid restoration. • Perform health checks, firmware/software upgrades, and preventative maintenance on critical transport and IP devices. • Use NMS and monitoring tools to analyze performance metrics and detect anomalies in real time. • Document incidents, root cause analyses, and corrective actions to improve network stability and reduce recurring issues. • Collaborate with engineering teams to plan capacity expansions, optimize routing, and deploy new transport circuits.
