Single tea machi with a vision to create Chennai\'s most reliable and frictionless food ecosystem online We are passionate about food and that creates a unique dining experience for our customers. The Word “Machi” is a household jargon used in Chennai meaning buddy, friend, mate, pal but the actual meaning is a brother-in-law. However, in the early 90’s it picked up all towns and we see in the late people using it most commonly. We wanted to bring back the homemade feeling and to retain a name that is most common yet unique.The Word “Single Tea” the actual meaning is a cup of tea that an individual can have. Now we do see large cups, Medium and children cups served in most of the entries. But Single Tea is the most common phrase in Chennai in the late ’90s and slowly it turned out to be just tea. We wanted to bring back the phrase to keep the feelings fresh. A Lot more can happen over tea!
