About Mason Carstens

I am a fourth-year student studying Supply Chain and Operations Management at the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. I am also pursuing a minor in Sport Leadership and Management, because I would love to learn more about the behind the scenes of sport. My freshman year, I completed a sequence of courses that taught me crucial skills such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, JMP, SQL, and Python. In addition, I participated in Miami’s Client Challenge, a group project where we were able to work with KeyBank providing a solution to a problem they were facing. My group was in the top 3% of the 180 ranked groups, and therefore had the honor of presenting our solution to KeyBank executives. I have also partaken in multiple clubs and extracurricular activities outside of academics. These involvements have improved and built my skills and led me to be a confident leader, well-rounded team member, and versatile developing professional. At Miami University, I am not only a strong student in the Farmer School of Business, but I have also served as the Vice President for my Fraternity, Alpha Sigma Phi. I recently completed a term as the Treasurer of the Supply Chain Management Association, which has led to many incredible opportunities to increase my understanding of the supply chain industry. In addition, I am on the Marketing Committee for the Pancakes for Parkinson’s club which has allowed me to give back to a cause I am passionate about, by utilizing my knowledge of business and soft skills. When I am not working, spending time studying, or in class, I enjoy my hobbies such as traveling, playing/watching sports, skiing, and golfing in my fraternity\'s golf league.
