About Mason Beshears

I’m a third-year Accounting student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, pursuing both a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Accounting. I currently hold a 3.80 Cumulative GPA with a 3.83 GPA in my major and have been named to the Chancellor’s List five times in recognition of consistent academic excellence.This summer, I’m gaining hands-on professional experience as a Staff Accountant Intern at Lowes Foods. In this role, I assist with preparing and posting journal entries, processing daily FEDI payments, managing fixed assets, and sending invoice reminders. I also support the preparation of sales and Power BI reporting, help pull and reconcile fuel data, load fuel BOLs to SharePoint, assist with cash and lottery reporting, and collaborate on weekly labor and supplemental reports. This internship has sharpened my understanding of how accounting supports business operations and decision-making in a real-world setting.In addition to my internship, I bring customer-facing experience from working as a Deli Clerk at Harris Teeter and as an Uber Eats driver. These roles taught me the importance of adaptability, communication, time management, and customer service under pressure.I’m also passionate about giving back to my community through volunteer work. I’ve been involved with Crosby Scholars since 2016 and was an active member of Key Club throughout high school from 2018 to 2021. Beta Alpha Psi has also allowed me to meet different accounting leaders at some of the top firms in the country/world and gain experience is applicable skills for my desired career. These experiences helped build my leadership, service mindset, and commitment to teamwork.I’m currently working toward earning my CPA license and Excel certification and am passionate about financial analysis, auditing, tax, risk assessment, and reconciliation. I’m eager to continue growing my skills, contributing to meaningful work, and eventually beginning a career in public or corporate accounting where I can make a measurable impact.
