About Mason Watters

I grew up in Austin, Texas, where I identified a critical need for student housing support and launched an Instagram account dedicated to solving roommate matching and housing challenges for students at UC Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara City College. At just 18, I relocated to Santa Barbara to attend SBCC and took on the management of @sbshousing, an account that has successfully connected thousands of incoming students across various colleges in the area. I later merged my Instagram account with Housing Helper Inc, a cutting-edge student housing platform. In my role, I pioneered technology-driven solutions to address key housing issues for students. I served as their Chief Marketing Officer for two years before starting a role as the social media manager and PR specialist for Bib Gourmand Winner Chef Ramon Velazquez. I managed the Instagram accounts for all eight of his restaurants across Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Montecito.After nine months of having the pleasure to work for Chef Ramon Velazquez, I started my own social media management company based in Santa Barbara, California.Committed to advancing my skill set, I currently attend Arizona State University, where I study Social Media and Self Branding. At ASU, I’m enrolled in the Global Career Accelerator program, where I’ve earned a Semrush SEO Certification and gained hands-on experience with Google Ads, the Meta Algorithm, digital marketing, and more.
