ABOUT FRANCIS MASINDE

With over 20 years of experience in leading and delivering complex, high-impact digital programmes across various sectors, I am a seasoned Senior Digital Programme Manager at South West London Health and Care Partnership (SWL HCP), a collaboration of 12 NHS partners and six local authorities. My mission is to enable and facilitate the transformation of healthcare services and systems through innovative and strategic use of digital technologies, data, and processes. I have a proven track record of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including CxOs, clinicians, patients, and suppliers, to define and deliver digital solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and outcomes. Some of my recent achievements include managing and delivering the National 5-Year Digital First Programme, which has seen huge improvements in the NHS Primary Care for both patients and clinicians across South West London. I have led programme teams that have implemented technologies such as cloud telephony, online consultations, the NHS App, patient messaging, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation, to drive innovation, reduce costs, and accelerate change and growth in primary care. Other projects of scale include the delivery of the Xerox Hybrid Mail Implementation across the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, which streamlined the process of sending appointment details to patients and saved £1 million over four years on postage costs, and leading the Outpatient Improvement Programme, which reduced the number of referrals from primary care to secondary care and enhanced the patient experience. I hold several professional certifications, such as MSP, PRINCE2, ITIL, and AGILE, and I have a strong background in business analysis, requirements analysis, and IT strategy. I am a hands-on leader, forward-thinking, and eager to embrace change. I value teamwork, trust, and respect, and I always strive for excellence and positive impact in my work.
