ABOUT M. ASIM AMIN
I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Research Fellow at the European Commission and a PhD candidate at the University of Genova (2023–2026), specialising in the intersection of artificial intelligence and electrical power systems. My research focuses on energy management systems for networked microgrids, AI-driven load forecasting, energy trading in smart energy communities, and digital twin modelling of power networks. I combine machine learning and deep learning techniques with real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations to advance the reliability and autonomy of future power grids.Over the years I have: • Published in peer-reviewed journals including Elsevier Energy, with work on deep learning-based energy trading in energy communities. • Collaborated with international research labs across Europe (Serbia, Italy) as part of the CLOE Horizon 2020 interdisciplinary doctoral program. • Worked with simulation platforms including Python, MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, DigSilent PowerFactory, Homer, and ETAP. • Earned a fully-funded Chinese Government Scholarship for my M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering at Xi\'an Jiaotong University.I am passionate about accelerating the global energy transition through rigorous research and cross-sector collaboration. I am open to senior research positions, postdoctoral roles, and collaborative projects in smart grids, energy systems, and applied AI for power engineering. Feel free to connect or message me — I welcome discussions on power systems, AI, and sustainable energy.
