ABOUT MASHA FREYVERT
Masha Freyvert currently leads the tax function at Warby Parker. In this role she is responsible for all areas of taxation, including direct and indirect tax compliance, financial reporting, strategy, controversy, and risk management. Masha has over 15 years of tax experience, covering a variety of different topics within federal, state and local, and international subjects. Prior to joining Warby Parker, Masha worked at Cedar, a healthcare tech company, where she built out the tax function. She has also worked at EY within the global compliance and reporting group where she supported Fortune 500 financial services institutions in a wide variety of areas including income tax provision services, tax compliance, and external audit support. She has experience advising on tax planning opportunities around the R&D tax credit, BEAT, M&A, and accounting methods. Masha has a Master\'s degree in Taxation from Bentley University and a BS in Business Administration from Boston University. She is a licensed CPA in New York and a member of the AICPA.
