ABOUT MARZENA NIERODA
Find out more at and https://personcentred.healthI’m a marketing scholar and Deputy Director for Partnerships & Enterprise at UCL’s Global Business School for Health, where I help shape a new generation of person-centred, data-driven health services. What I doI advance equitable health access. My research sits at the intersection of marketing, public health and service design. I map how the places we live, work and age influence behaviours and outcomes, then redesign services, places, lifestyles and experiences—most recently in women’s health and menopause, weight management and cancer risk.I turn insight into impact. I blend qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods approaches and convene clinicians, technologists, policymakers and patient groups to co-create behaviour-change programmes and service pathways.I lead strategic partnerships. I drive knowledge exchange with industry and community partners so that research solves real-world problems and accelerates innovation across prevention, diagnosis and treatment. In parallel, I’m building Open Health—a federated data platform that enables cross-partner, cross-border collaboration. By letting organisations share insights securely, we can develop predictive models and planning tools that reflect lived realities while safeguarding privacy. Why it mattersEvery collaboration—funded by Cancer Research UK, Greater Manchester Cancer Vanguard, the European Commission, EPSRC and others—feeds back into better services for everyone, positioning GBSH and me at the forefront of evidence-based marketing and health innovation.I’m always up for connecting with researchers, industry leaders and community advocates who share a commitment to making health and wellbeing more accessible, human-centred and data-smart. Let’s explore how we can collaborate.
