ABOUT MARY Z.

I am a new mom who re-entered the professional field postpartum. I am here for all of the #selfcare and #squadcare conversations. More specifically, raising awareness of the interesectionality between work responsibilities and lactation responsibilities (especially for #exclusivepumpers) while at work. Check out my Pinterest page if you would like to see the essential items needed to upkeep your milk supply while working full time.I received my B.A. in Business Administration, M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and currently pursuing my PhD in Public Administration. I am an educator by trade and an advocate by heart. I find passion in meeting with my students and staff to learn and find their greatest potential. More specifically, to have difficult conversations when others are afraid of leaning into the discomfort of life experiences. I believe in collaboration to progress our disciplines. I am an advocate for self-care and squad-care practices when it comes to addressing secondary trauma. I believe in mentorship and learning from our future leaders and scholars. Feel free to reach out if wish to talk, collaborate, or network.
