Utilizing various tools, such as the Strong Interest Inventory or the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), you will discover your interests, skills, values, and abilities as they pertain to the world of work.Career WorkshopsA variety of workshops, including resume preparation, interview techniques, job search, graduate school application, Internet job search, business etiquette and dressing for success, are offered each semester.College CentralFull-time, part-time and summer employment openings are made available via our website through College Central. Registration is required and the service is available to Marywood University students and alumni.Credential ServicesStudents may maintain a credential file in the Career Services Office. Once complete, this file will be made available on reasonable notice and mailed directly to prospective employers. By using the office as an official third party that collects and sends these credentials, students avoid the inconvenience of contacting a reference person each time they apply for a position.Career FairsEach year, college consortium employment fairs offer students and alumni many opportunities to speak with employers about available job openings in business, education, health, human services and other career areas.Individual AppointmentsExplore career alternatives and the job search process through discussions with the professional staff at the Career Services Office. Graduate school opportunities also can be addressed during these sessions.Mock InterviewsSchedule mock interview sessions to sharpen self-presentation skills and enhance employment potential. Videotaped or virtual sessions may be scheduled and reviewed with a career counselor. On-Campus RecruitmentEach year, representatives from business, education and government conduct employment interviews in the Career Services Office.
