About Mary Suberu
As a Trainee Associate with New York and London experience, my transactional work spans across Funds Finance, Capital Markets, Project Finance, Securitization, Leveraged Finance and Asset Based Lending. My previous rotations have been within Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Corporate & Securities. While I’m open to a variety of practice areas, I have a strong interest in Finance & Corporate transactions, and I am passionate about leveraging my technical and cross-cultural communication skills to provide valuable support to clients navigating the dynamic and often challenging global financial landscape. Driven by a commitment to excellence and professional growth, I am continuously seeking opportunities to enhance my knowledge of cross-border transactions, while contributing to my firm’s mission of delivering bespoke and exceptional client service. I am passionate about giving back to my community and I’m privileged to serve on the board as Events Co-Chair at American Women Lawyers in London (AWLL). I’m also passionate about mentoring law students and actively participate in various Probono, DE & I and other initiatives at Mayer Brown, including being an editor of the firm’s ESG blog (Eye on ESG) where we regularly report on the most recent ESG regulatory developments and findings. I also run my own blog (Esquisitor Law) which follows my journey of becoming an esquire and solicitor, and explores the differences and similarities between the US & UK legal systems.
