The Portland club was established in 1886 with the common goal of connecting likeminded individuals for meaningful conversation and company. To this day The Portland Club is the premier place to network and build community.The Portland Club is a social activities club that is welcoming to anyone who feels an abiding fondness for the city of Portland, values good times and good company, and shares our membership’s dedication to the preservation of the historic property that is the home of the club: the Alexander Parris-designed 1805 Hunnewell-Shepley mansion, located at 156 State Street.Skills and Responsibilities:• Provide leadership to create and achieve yearly goals• Supervise development of new website and reorganization of CRM system to better communicate and market to members and prospects • Develop and maintain operating budget, annual budget and project budgets. • Manage bookkeeper and tax accountant • Create 501(c)3 and 501(c)7 tax exempt structures to allow tax deductible donations• Implemented recurring member events to promote and increase membership and provide community networking opportunities
