The Compost Manufacturing Alliance is a partnership of pioneering composters throughout the U.S. developing competent and reliable field validation of feed stocks within emerging and real world processing technologies. We work to proactively define feed stock standards while educating government and end users on what works best in varying systems Our Goals: To enhance composting capacity and the development of appropriate food service packaging options to increase food waste diversion in composting, minimize contamination, and create respectful and mutually beneficial business partnerships between compost manufacturers and compostable product manufacturers. Compost Manufacturing Alliance (CMA): Our mission is to move compost manufacturing forward to a more sustainable future. To provide competent and reliable field research of potential feed stocks used in compost manufacturing.CMA field tests materials in various technologies: • Turned windrows• Membrane laminated covered aerated static piles • Open aerated static piles• Modified aerated static piles• Mass beds• Agitated continuous flow systems The Founders: The CMA owners are U.S. industry leaders that have been pioneering feed stock processing for decades, representing over 20 facilities across the Pacific Northwest, central, southeast, southwest, Midwestern and the east coast regions.
