About Mary Natoli

Experienced biotech professional with postdoc, lab manager, and industry experience in bioengineering, especially diagnostics. I have been the project lead in assay development of several point-of-care tests, with accomplishments demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications, abstract publications, and institutional awards for successful collaboration and professional service. I have hands-on experience with sample preparation, clinical matrices including whole blood, saliva, nasopharyngeal matrix, and nasal matrix, nucleic acid amplification (RPA, LAMP, qPCR, RT-qPCR). I have been involved in many collaborative studies and projects: cross-institutional, academic-clinical, academic-industry, and international. I have had direct oversight of a Research Associate (RA) I, RA II, and Associate Scientist, as well as 3 research technicians and 12 undergraduate students. I am skilled in writing technical documents and giving presentations to varied audiences.I love creative problem solving to achieve goals in a team setting. My passion is translational biomedical engineering with tangible impact on patient care.
