About Maryna Longnickel

I\'m a data engineer, an artist, a motorcycle racer. I love learning new things, acquiring new (often completely unrelated) skills, and embarking on creative and challenging endeavors. The more abstract and obscure the problem, and the more freedom I have to approach it from any angle to come up with an elaborate and intricate, or delightfully simple solution, the happier I am. I have taught myself most of what I know and it usually happens on the fly. Luckily, I pick things up pretty fast. I prefer working alone or in a small team, ideally on multiple projects simultaneously, as I do my best work when I am able to focus and completely immerse myself in the task at hand. Writing code to solve puzzles, and develop solutions to problems has become my favorite pastime for last 10 years. I find it to be akin to playing with digital Lego where all the basic pieces are there and it\'s up to me to carefully assemble them into something amazing and structured, perfectly engineered to accomplish various tasks effectively and efficiently. Or something completely useless but interesting nonetheless. I\'d very much like for that to be a part of my job.
