WORK HISTORY
Director of Sales & Marketing @Benchmark Senior Living
Lincoln, MA, US
Benchmark Senior Living at The Commons in Lincoln is a premier model for senior services, offering everything from independent living (with community services and support) to complete medical care. Most importantly, we create a vibrant and engaging community campus for our residents. As the Director of Sales and Marketing, I am responsible for keeping prospective residents excited about the Benchmark brand while ensuring The Commons in Lincoln retains a full occupancy status. In my previous roles as Campus Life Care Director and Director of Customer Experience, I was the primary point of contact for all of our new residents as well as those residents ready to move on the continuum of care. I assisted them with the myriad details of their transition and provided in-depth support and guidance to make their move as seamless and pleasant as possible. As the primary point, The Commons’ team has had unprecedented success, with a 100% “sold” status for the past 2 years and sales revenue more than 2X projections. In a recent survey, residents were 97% “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the transition and with their living experience at The Commons. It is deeply rewarding to know that I have helped our residents—and their families—with what can be a complex and challenging process.

ABOUT MARY GARRITY CORMIER
Helping Redefine Senior Living – One Relationship at a TimeAs the senior living field rapidly evolves, one thing remains constant: the need for communities that feel like home — places rooted in connection, purpose, and exceptional care. At Benchmark Senior Living, and specifically at The Commons in Lincoln, I’ve had the privilege of leading sales, marketing, and branding efforts for Independent Living — the primary entry point to our campus and a vital part of our Continuing Care Retirement Community. With a strong focus on lifestyle, choice, and connection, our Independent Living homes are among the most sought-after in the region, offering residents the freedom they want with the security of a full continuum of care behind them. The Commons is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), offering the full continuum of care — but my primary focus is Independent Living. I made the transition to this role after a deeply personal experience supporting my own parents through their later years. With a background in corporate marketing and PR, I saw an opportunity to bring my skills to a new space — one where empathy, guidance, and relationships matter just as much as strategy.Since joining The Commons in 2015, I’ve been part of a team that has:• Grown our Independent Living occupancy from 56% to 100% — with a 180-person waiting list• Consistently exceeded quarterly and annual sales goals year over year• Achieved 97% resident and family satisfaction (a record high)• Honored by Boston Magazine as a Top Senior Living Community for 2024 & 2025We have done it by staying laser-focused on what matters most: the people. The Commons isn’t just a beautiful campus — it’s a community built on trust, warmth, and innovation.
