About Mary E. Winn

A thoughtful and collaborative leader with a passion for advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, I am focused on facilitating communication and growth with an understanding of where an organization has come from and where it wants to go, forging consensus through participation, and supporting others to be their best selves. I am strategic – quickly spotting relevant patterns and issues, deliberative – taking serious care in making efficient and effective decisions, a catalyst – turning thoughts and ideas into action, a learner – seeking out information and knowledge, and a commander – taking control of a situation and making decisions when necessary. I bring this focus and these strengths to every role I pursue, whether it is the strategic development and management of a customer service and technology oriented shared resources program within a growing independent research institute or facilitating a conversation on systemic racism with members of a professional society committed to social justice.
