Boston, MA, US

Provi is a B2B marketplace transforming how restaurants, bars, and retailers wholesale purchase alcohol, supporting $25M+ in weekly sales across active retailers.Joined to own the back-end platform roadmap where I was responsible for the micro-services architecture powering 1,100+ distributor integrations and a catalog of 2M+ unique products. Over time, grew into the Head of Product & Design role, taking on full ownership of product vision and strategy across the organization.Built and developed the product and design team, elevating it from an execution-focused group into one operating at a true strategic level and setting roadmap direction, defining success metrics, and driving company-wide product thinking. Established a culture of testing and learning, embedding structured experimentation into how the team evaluates bets and makes decisions, which was a meaningful shift in how product work gets done at Provi.Navigated significant leadership change at the executive level, earning the trust of multiple new ELT members across a period of organizational evolution. Maintained team stability, direction, and momentum throughout.Flexed into an operational leadership capacity when needed, overseeing the Digital Inventory Specialists team, who was responsible for end-to-end retail catalog management across 2M+ unique products, ensuring continuity and quality during periods of transition.

ABOUT MARYANA VRUBEL

I build product teams that don\'t just ship, they own the problem. The best teams I\'ve led didn\'t need to be fixed. They needed someone who could see what they were capable of, set a higher bar, and build the conditions for them to rise to it. That\'s the work I find most meaningful and most effective.Over the past decade I\'ve operated at the intersection of product, strategy, and organizational leadership. My foundation is product roadmaps, platforms, customer experience, and data, but my lens comes from somewhere broader. Years in strategy consulting at Oliver Wyman taught me how to structure ambiguous problems, build a business case from scratch, and see the commercial picture behind every product decision. I bring that into every role.Something that doesn\'t show up on most product resumes: I studied history. It shaped how I think more than anything else. Every new industry, every new problem space feels like a historical episode I want to understand from the ground up. Who are the players, the forces, the context, the moments where things could have gone differently? It\'s how I approached every consulting engagement, how I got up to speed in beverage alcohol at Provi, and how I\'ll approach whatever comes next. I don\'t just learn new domains, I get genuinely absorbed by them.At Provi I built a product and design org from the ground up, evolving it from a team focused on execution into one capable of driving company strategy. At Chewy I owned search, browse, and account infrastructure for tens of millions of customers. At Amazon I drove $100M+ in incremental demand through AI-driven personalization and recommendations work on private brands. What I\'m known for among the people I\'ve worked with: I\'m steady when things are uncertain, sharp when things are complex, and genuinely invested in the people on my team and around me. ELT members know they can think out loud with me. My teams know I\'ll advocate for them and challenge them in equal measure.I\'m interested in senior leadership roles where product and strategy sit close together and where the work is about building something that matters, not just managing a roadmap.
