We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”Winston Churchill said that, but with two parents dedicated to public service, its point has been a driving force for me since I was very young.Ever since my early days reading and watching legal thrillers, I’ve been inspired by how the law can help people solve problems. My career as an attorney has given me an incredibly rewarding foundation toward being a servant leader. I’ve dedicated my career to connecting people and leading efforts to change public policy to promote justice, streamline regulations and improve our state\'s economy. My goal? Make Ohio a better place to live and work. That goal hasn’t changed as I serve the Ohio State Bar Association as Chief Executive Officer.As a Chief Executive Officer, I collaborate with our board and professional team to offer an inclusive culture where people with different backgrounds and expertise connect to solve problems. I partner with our board to set our vision, to innovate and develop strategies to meet our mission and goals. I also lead OSBA\'s day-to-day operations always working to demonstrate value to our members through our advocacy work, as well as through the resources we offer to improve their practices and businesses.As the first female CEO in OSBA’s history, I use this role to advocate for and champion other women, ensuring our organization’s inclusive culture and promoting women and their work.I also lead by example by being a mentor to others, giving back to my community, balancing work with time for my husband and son, and taking care of myself. You\'ll find me on my Peloton bike several times a week. For fun, I like to try travel, read, shop for statement earrings/necklaces and try new wines.
