Supervise two to three technicians to provide pharmacy services while dispensing 200-250 prescriptions daily. Enter and monitor patient profiles medication compliance; verify patient data and billing information. Counsel patients on prescriptions and OTC medications regarding usage, side effects, storage, and nutritional requirements to prevent adverse events. Serve as a patient advocate by troubleshooting medication-related issues, providing information, and making recommendations to improve therapeutic effectiveness. Perform medication therapy management, drug utilization review, and medication dispensing in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPPA, and OSHA. Communicate with physicians and nurses to verify accuracy and correctness of prescriptions. Provide community pharmacy services through programs such as health screenings and diabetes management. Administer influenza, pneumonia, meningitis, shingles, TdAP, and Zostavax vaccinations. Contribute to sponsoring local events, promotions for prescription transfers, and other marketing andcommunity outreach activities to promote facility. Label products appropriately, including cautionary and auxiliary labels. Manage pharmacy inventory through proper medication ordering, returns and inter-store transfers.
