I am a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in environmental, health and safety, behavioral modification, training, workers compensation, risk management, regulatory interpretation and enforcement, disaster preparedness, policy design, performance management, contract negotiations (union), quality and management systems and employee relations. Additionally, I have written numerous administrative directives, handbooks, training curriculums and strategic plans for entities with more than employees and responsibilities for more than citizens. I have been responsible for revamping problem-plagued programs into first-rate programs thereby minimizing waste and injuries by a minimum of fifty percent as well as reducing medical costing by hundreds of thousands of dollars. I am a demonstrated results-oriented leader with skill and experience in developing and maintaining standardized programs, strategic plans, and continuous improvement strategies.I have received recognition from David C. Reed, Major General, United States Air Force Commander for my expertise and participation in a joint major accident response exercise between civilians and military personnel conducted at Lackland Air Force Base. I have received the same from The Alamo Area Law Enforcement Academy and The University of Texas San Antonio. Additionally, having served as an executive leader for governmental and corporate entities in the past, I am accustom to informing and serving commissioners’ courts and councils and am fully aware of the accountability to stakeholders, both internal and external.
