The Facilities Manager / Project Manager / FLSD for Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens. Help organize and supervise all of the strategic and day-to-day administrative activities that facilitate the smooth operation of the office. This position involves a range of responsibilities including hands-on day to day administrative-type duties to higher-level implementation activities including budgeting and project management.Oversee and supervise the installation of the Sprinkler Systems and Elevator Modernization projects at the Main offices. Working knowledge of boilers; HVAC; Fire Command Station; plumbing; electrical; roofing and windows. Coordinate all moves, adds and changes with the main building. Ability to develop a team approach.*Primary liaison with property management on issues or requests.* Assist with in the development and maintenance of systems for overseeing all necessary inspections, permit renewals, certificates and registrations in order to meet all regulatory agency code. Requirements include NYC DOB, FDNY, HPD, DEP, ECB, DHCR and HUD.* Assist in policy creation or updating, as well as communicate with employees on facilities-related issues.* Work directly with external suppliers, validating work was completed correctly and in line with the approved budget.* Assists in the development of uniform standards for preventative maintenance programs in accordance with building requirements and life safety codes.* First line liaison on insurance coordination issues such as insurance certificates and contract verification issues.* Requires the ability to read contracts and clearly and correctly communicate to the insurance provider the requirement, as well as validate the information returns meets the requirement.* As part of team, ensures that all buildings provides building provide a safe and healthy environment for residents.
