ABOUT MARY T. T. SCHMITZ

I am a transformational leader who promotes student & educator wellness, safe and supportive schools, equity, social and emotional learning (SEL), mindfulness and authentic connection. I am the granddaughter of immigrants arriving solo from different continents at ages 12 & 18 yrs, respectfully. Thus, I am anchored in my values of authentic presence, fortitude, compassionate connection, justice and service. Systems Change begins when we create sacred space for each and everyone to Show-up: in authentic presence, Engage: vulnerably in collaborative relationships, and Lean-In with compassion and kindness (SEL). Macro-Level change, is individual, heart change to the nth-degree! Thus, transformation is the space where \"Change Management\" and \"Leadership\" become \"embodied\". It\'s where \"doing\" transforms into \"BE-ing\". It\'s where we LIVE it out loud!I offer extensive professional experience, am Clinically Licensed, hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and am a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher through UMASS Medical Center for Mindfulness. I\'m equipped to serve diverse populations, engage suffering with compassion, teach people how to relate, manage stress, grieve, deliver impact in groups, and motivate others to deliver impact. I\'m a systems\' thinker and community organizer. I connect collaborative partners, build cohesive teams, research wellness tools, develop innovative services, compile resources, as well as add meaningful value to a multi-disciplinary team.
