Serve as Lead Development Quality Assurance Engineer covering Systems, Hardware and Software on newly developed/developing military and civil Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) programs along with other DO-178, DO-254 and ARP4754 avionics programs.• Working with UAS teams on identifying gaps using DO-178, DO-254, GE’s internal processes, and ASTM F3269/F3201 to develop and enact a course of action to either close those gaps further enhancing safety and creating enhanced planning or updating current GE processes to support the UAS development effort.• Continue in research of changing UAS certification and compliance trends (Overarching Properties (NASA), FAA, EASA, ASTM)• Develop quality assurance plans, programs, systems and procedures in support of UAS programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout the life cycle.• Develop and administer internal audits and evaluations to ensure conformance with plans and procedures. • Conduct sampling of plans and procedures, systems for monitoring product certification decisions, procedure checklists, and other guidelines for reviewing quality systems.• Conduct Hardware and Software First Article Inspections (FAI) and test conformance and witnessing.• Experience with Flight Management (FMS) software using waterfall and evolutionary lifecycle processes applying DO-178C.
